Welcome to the planning wiki for students and instructors involved with
Going Green Tampa Bay! The purpose of this site is to collaborate on the kinds of projects that will be displayed at the
Going Green Tampa Bay Expo or online at the
Going Green Tampa Bay Resource Wiki. (We don't want 35 projects on Global Warming, after all.)
Ways to use this site:
- Get started: First, be sure to click "Join this wiki" in the upper-right hand corner before you do anything else. If you are a student in ENC 1102, be sure that your user name begins with the section number of your course. (A student in section 110 would create a user name like "110kstedman.")
- Get ideas: Start narrowing down your ideas of what you might want to study for your project. Browse through a few of the sites listed in the links page, or check out the possible categories on the Sustainability Categories page.
- Share your chosen topic and start brainstorming: Create a new page under the appropriate category and write a few sentences about how you plan to address that topic in your media presentation.
- Maybe you want to create a poster or brochure about saving electricity. Head to the right category (and create one if one isn't there), click "Add page," and type up the issues you will include in your poster or brochure. Maybe someone else from another class will see your ideas and make a poster that discusses issues you didn't get to!
- Or maybe instead of a poster you want to develop a section on the Going Green Tampa Bay Resource Wiki about saving electricity. Create a page here where you can share your ideas, links, and resources, and maybe someone will want to join you--giving you twice the ability to develop an awesome page on the Resource Wiki!
